This sound piece was created as part of the installation work Gravitation (2023–). The video digitally reconstructs a split-second moment—the instant a teacup and saucer fall and shatter—rendered to resemble a field of glittering stars.

In tandem with the visuals, Holst’s “Mercury” from The Planets suite is stretched to 30 minutes, layered with effects and sound design that evoke a sense of eternity. In Greek mythology, Mercury corresponds to Hermes—the god of travel.

インスタレーション作品「Gravitation」（2023-）のサウンド作品として制作。カップ&ソーサーが落ちて割れたコンマ１秒の出来事をデジタル空間で再現した映像は、まるできらめく星々のよう。合わせて、グスターヴ・ホルスト作組曲「惑星」より「水星」を30分間に引き伸ばし、永遠性を彷彿とするエフェクトや効果音を配置した。「水星」はギリシャ神話の「ヘルメス」を指す。旅の神である。
