A Study of In(to)stallation

It has been two years since I started visiting Mt. Hanare and six months since I moved to the area. As the landscape in the mountain' changes dynamically every 5 days, as is called 72 seasons in East Asia, and the more I realise that the mountain is constantly moving in a muddle of life and death, the more I have come to feel a bit uncomfortable with what recently called environmental art works that "install nature into urban spaces".
“A Study of In(to)stallation” is an alternative to such installations that invite nature, instead is diving into nature. Wish you to step into the work and enjoy the cut-out - but alive - nature and the transparent forest.

イン（トゥー）スタレーションのための習作
離山に訪れるようになり二年が経ち、移住してから半年が経った。七十二候（しちじゅうにこう）と呼ばれるように、五日毎にダイナミックに表情が変わり、常に生死混濁に動き続ける山のことを実感すればするほど、昨今の環境アートと呼ばれるような「自然を都市空間に迎える」作品群に一抹の違和感を覚えるようになった。
本作は、そのような自然を招聘するインスタレーションに対するオルタナティブとして、自然にお邪魔するイントゥースタレーションを思考する習作である。作品に歩み入り、切り取られた——ただし生きている——自然と、透けた森を楽しんでいただきたい。
