From May 26 (Fri), 2023, Startbahn Inc. presents the exhibition Gravitation by Jukan Tateisi, Shoei Matsuda, and Yu Yora at SRR Project Space in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.

Gravitation is an exhibition that offers a critical reflection on our post-pandemic society, where the physical and digital realms are increasingly entangled under a new kind of gravity. In a time when digital tools are accelerating, amplifying, and flattening real-world phenomena, the exhibition compares and analyzes this emerging force with the universal law of gravitation, expressing its impact on reality through the medium of screen-based works.

The three artists—previously based in London (Tateisi), Berlin (Matsuda), and Paris (Yora)—returned to Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic and met for the first time. Rather than a group show of separate works, this exhibition presents a new collaborative project jointly conceived and produced by the trio.

With “gravity” as its central theme, the exhibition features a video work in the window gallery and an installation in the main gallery.

スタートバーンは 2023年5月26日(金)より、東京・下北沢の「SRR Project Space」にて、立石従寛、松田将英、保良雄による展覧会「Gravitation」を開催します。

「Gravitation」は、現実とデジタル世界が新たな引力の下で絡み合う、現在のポストパンデミックの社会への提言を行う展覧会です。昨今、デジタルツールの台頭により現実の事象が加速、増幅、平坦化している中、本展ではその新しい力と普遍的な万有引力の法則と比較・分析し、新しい引力が現実に与える影響をスクリーンに表現します。

3人はそれぞれ、ロンドン（立石）、ベルリン（松田）、パリ（保良）を拠点に活動していましたが、コロナ禍で帰国し、日本で出会いました。本展は、3人がそれぞれの作品を発表するグループ展ではなく、3人が合同で企画・制作した新作を紹介する展覧会となります。

「万有引力」をテーマに、ウィンドー・ギャラリーでは映像作品を、メイン・ギャラリーではインスタレーションを展示いたします。
