Gravitation

2024

Gravitation, an exhibition by Jukan Tateisi and Takeshi Yasura, is currently on view at Paichu in Roppongi, Tokyo, through June 29. The works on display are based on the trio exhibition Gravitation, held in May at SRR Project Space in Shimokitazawa by Tateisi, Shoei Matsuda, and Yora.

As a continuation of the earlier show, this iteration features fragments of a saucer that were 3D-scanned in the previous exhibition and now reunite in a virtual space. The new work presents these pieces as if they are gracefully dancing—adorned with optical effects and accompanied by music.

The venue also functions as a Taiwanese restaurant, so visitors are encouraged to enjoy a meal after viewing the exhibition.
