Movement is a video work series derived from the It / Those project. It explores "motion" through clusters of images associated with hashtags on social media. For example, from the hashtag #whitedove, the artist attempts to construct a flapping motion. However, the movement appears jerky—this is because users tend to post images of white doves with their wings fully spread, aligning with a common visual expectation.

Unlike It / Those, this series is manually assembled by the artist, who sequences found images like a stop-motion animation to create movement. Through this process, cultural and national differences begin to emerge within the flow of imagery.

「Movement」は「その-それら」から派生した映像作品シリーズである。ソーシャルメディア上のハッシュタグに紐づいたイメージ群から「動き」を探求する。たとえば#whitedoveからはばたきを構築しようとする。すると動きがカクカクする。これはユーザが白いハトに持つイメージに近い「翼を大きく拡げている」写真を投稿する傾向があるからだ。

本シリーズでは、「その-それら」とは異なり、作家が手動でストップモーションアニメのようにファンドイメージをつなぎ合わせて動きを制作する。その中で各国や文化の違いが見えてくるのだ。
